Trustees/Committee

Shirley Wilson

My name is Shirley Wilson and I am a Trustee of the Brain Injured Children Trust. I am married to Glenn and have two children, Mark and Corena. Our Son Mark has Cerebral Palsy as a result of lack of oxygen at birth in 1995.
We started NDTP in 1996 and worked hard with amazing results. It took all our time and energy and finances to continue with not a lot of support. As he grew older we recognized that Mark would always need specialized equipment and support to help him socially and academically. Everything for him comes with a significant cost. My personal goal became that when I had the time and energy I wanted to be part of a trust that could help other families achieve similar results but with support, emotionally, financially and practically.

Our family is passionate and believes that all children with a brain injury should have the opportunity to be informed and to be able to make a choice if Neuro-Developmental Therapy is right for their family dynamics. I am fortunate to be part of a motivated team and with the support from my husband Glenn, my children Mark and Corena, and through perseverance, trial and error; we know that we can make a difference.

Would you like to help?

We are always looking for volunteers, sponsors, or donations to support us in improving the lives of brain injured children. Thank you for reaching out.
