Karen Williams
I believe the quality of our lives disabled or not is determined by the richness of the relationships we have around us. For some that could be family for others that may be through friends or connections with likeminded individuals in sport, art, work or play. I believe wholeheartedly in enabling equal opportunities for all. Everyone has something to bring to the table and I enjoy supporting others to work to their strengths, challenging them to step outside their comfort zone to explore new opportunities for progression and personal development.
Joining the Brain Injured Children Trust has always been on my radar as I have watched, admired and supported the work that the Trust does for children, empowering parents to see the potential for their child and to reach for the stars. To finally be sat behind a desk helping to make a difference in some of those lives is incredibly rewarding and I’m delighted to be on board.
My mantras in life are ‘Live a life of no regrets’, followed closely by “don’t take yourself too seriously”
